I am often asked where I buy my pens, paper, ink and other stationery goods. Most of the time, I buy from my Lemur Ink because a) John, the owner, is a friend of mine, b) he lives close so shipping is lightning fast, and c) shipping is free with purchases over $20 which is pretty hard to beat. But, I do buy from other places and I know of even more than I use frequently.
This blog will be a continuously updated list of online shops, and brick and mortar stores. The “Online Only” list is in order of my personal preference. The “Brick and Mortar + Online” list is listed alphabetically. I will be limiting the list to the USA for now, but may expand the list if I ever get to it…
In addition to all of these retail establishments, there are many small makers who sell their goods direct-to-consumer. If I were to attempt to list them all I would certainly leave out someone by mistake, so rather, I will only highlight a few of my personal favorites. I encourage everyone to spend time really exploring the small makers because in many ways they are the true lifeblood of the pen community.
