"Buddy Boat"

In February of 2016 I undertook the "RPM Challenge." The Record Producing Month (RPM) Challenge is an annual challenge wherein musicians/bands/artists attempt to write, record, and produce either 10 songs or 35 minutes of original music all within the month of February. I had never tried anything like this and so I gave it a whirl. I had a blast as I pulled out all of my hairs trying to create original content worth sharing with the world. On the last day, at around 11:30 p.m. I strained to finish writing a track and recording it so I could meet my deadline. Was it worth the stress? ABSOLUTELY! Challenges like this, if you stick with them, are not about the result but rather the process. Boy, did I learn a ton about myself through it all!

All in all, the album was mostly junk. The only track that I am ever-so-slightly proud of is this one. The recording is very rough, the piano (and vocals) are egregiously out of tune, I even messed up my own lyrics at one point... but I am still proud of the idea.

Think about it... Friend Ship... Buddy Boat... that's funny right??
